Immortelles
Immortelles, the title of a group exhibition that evokes both the plant, the fantasy of eternity and the supposed durability of works of art.In the work Mannequin sans yeux , I discusse the mutant body, prevented and constrained. The sculptur How I killed Eva Hesse. And the sculptural light installation Placebo Dream the green phosphorescent pills color refer back to the title of the exhibition and to the historical, plant-based medicine. That was grown and fabricated in the hospital's own garden and pharmacy. I want this piece of art to give us the reflection over today's synthetics drugs versus the natural healing aspects of plants. But not killing the dream of the idea that with substances you can cure all.
